Some friends of mine and I recently took a trip up and down the Oregon Coastline. My friends had been to Oregon before, but this was my first time let alone the first time traveling along the Pacific Highway - US 101. While road tripping through the state, my buddy was raving about this coffee shop that was just north of where we were going to be staying (our hotel was in Yachats and this coffee shop was in Waldport approximately 8 miles north). We stopped just about every morning for a coffee at Espresso 101 and each time it was a delightful experience.
A cute little coffee shack right off US 101 (hence where the name comes from, Espresso 101) in the small coastal town of Waldport, Oregon. Espresso 101 has a pretty good sized menu of specialty drinks with lots of substitute options for whatever tickles your fancy; however, the staff is more than capable of making the basic coffee drink for those "non-sissy" coffee drinkers. The flavors of their lattes were mixed perfectly, never one overpowering the others, and you could actually taste the coffee and not some burnt mess like other large corporate coffee companies (sounds like barstucks). The staff was always so friendly and very helpful when it came to recommendations (even right when they opened in the mornings).
Some of the drinks that I had that I wanted to highlight:
The Shamrock
White Chocolate
Irish Cream Syrup
4 Shots of Espresso
Milky Way or White Milky Way
Chocolate or White Chocolate
Caramel
French Toast Latte
Maple Syrup
French Vanilla
Brown Sugar Cinnamon
I would definitely recommend stopping by Espresso 101 if you are in the area and are looking for a little morning or midday pick me up, and if you are driving through Waldport, Oregon, it is an absolute MUST stop.
